The Lumberjack
• Senior forward Kyle Landry was named first-team all-Big Sky. Landry was the only unanimous pick for the first team. Junior guard Josh Wilson was named to the second team.
• Four members of the NAU dive team are headed to the NCAA Zone 1 Regional Championships. The divers include seniors Natalie Hughes and Danielle Borth as well as freshman Megan Collier and Taryn Harris. The meet will take place in Oklahoma City March 13-15.
• Women’s tennis added a sweep to their resume last weekend. The Jacks defeated Gonzaga as well as Eastern Washington. Women’s tennis is now 4-1 in conference play and 11-7 overall.
• Men’s tennis split their first two conference matches of the season defeating Idaho State but falling to Weber State. The men are 2-11 overall and 1-1 in Big Sky play.
• The Lumberjack sports section is hosting a bracket challenge on Facebook, for the upcoming NCAA men’s tournament. The pool is open to all NAU students and faculty and standings will be posted in the Lumberjack throughout the tournament. You can start filling out your bracket after the selection shows on Selection Sunday, which is this Sunday. The opening round game will be played the Tuesday after and the first round gets underway that Thursday.
The winner of the contest will be featured in a future issue of the Lumberjack.
